02The problem
A growing bachelor-hostel business in Dhaka — six properties, hundreds of residents, three daily meals each, monthly billing, building-level reporting, market expenses, lead enquiries — was being run on spreadsheets, paper logs, and group chats. Every operational task that grew with the business was a manual constraint on scaling. The founder needed software that ran the business the way Bangladeshi bachelor hostels actually run — daily meal locking, per-resident consumption tracking, transparent payment status, building rollups — not a generic property-management tool bent into the wrong shape.
03The approach
Built as a Bangla-first vertical SaaS for the bachelor-hostel category specifically. Residents lock their meals (breakfast / lunch / dinner) per day; the admin sees a single screen with every resident's locked meals, payment status, and per-meal pricing across every building. Building-level rollups surface daily revenue, meal counts, and order volume — the founder can scan one screen and know what each property did today. The accounting layer lives inside the same platform — balance updates, market expenses, monthly bills auto-calculated from locked meals — so meals and books are one source of truth, not two systems someone has to reconcile. Excel export for offline workflows. Lead-enquiry inbox built in so prospects from the portfolio site land in the same admin without copy-pasting. Bangla-first UI throughout, including the daily report views, because the people running the business read and work in Bangla.
